Tanxel was founded by Lam Tang to help Biopharmaceutical firms optimize the value of their portfolios, and expand their businesses through strategic partnering or company acquisition.

Founding Director Lam Tang completed his doctoral studies in Organic Chemistry at Oxford University (UK) before conducting oncology research at Stanford University (USA) as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
He subsequently took on a number of increasingly senior scientific roles at various Biopharmaceutical firms, leading projects in oncology, neuropathic pain and CNS disorders from target validation through to clinical candidate selection, and directly reporting to Executive Management and Board of Directors.
Becoming more intrigued with commercial aspects of the biopharmaceutical industry, Lam embarked on an MBA at Warwick Business School (UK) and graduated with Distinction. Armed with an extensive real-world understanding of drug research and development, and best practices in business, he started offering business consultancy services to the industry in 2015.
